Kids Easter Craft Envelope Bunnies

Now that my kiddos are grown I like to find fun and easy kids crafts for “The Littles” (my grandson’s) especially the oldest who is turning 4 on April 1st!  He is one crafty kiddo!  At the end of the post you will see a button that says PRINT and you can just print this craft out.  Easy Peasy.   Most everything you can pick up at the $1 store for supplies.

Items You’ll Need

• Regular letter size mailing envelopes
• Bag of Easter Candy, Suckers etc.
• Pink Construction paper
• Colored Pencils
• Fuzzy Pom Poms (see the nose above)
• Bunny Ear Template kids_spr04_bunny_ear_template

Step By Step Instructions

•  Seal the flap of an envelope, and draw bunny ears on the sealed side, as shown below. You can draw your own or use our bunny ear template.
• Cut along the line through both layers of the envelope.
• Flip the envelope over; what was the side of the envelope becomes the bottom of your treat holder.
• Cut pink construction paper to make eyes and insides of ears, and glue them on the front of the envelope. Use colored pencil for mouth; glue on a pom-pom nose. Fill with yummy Easter sweets.

Easter Lolly Hunt For Kids

 

Who’s excited and ready for Spring to … well…SPRING!?  I know all my friends on the other side of the U.S. sure are with all that snow they’ve had this year.  The “official” first day of Spring is March 20th, 2014 aka The Spring Equinox and longest day of the year.  Easter this year falls on April 20, 2014.

Okay with that out of the way I have to admit I adore Spring, the colors, scents of blossoms in the air and when Easter arrives watching the kids all dressed in their Easter outfits with Easter Baskets dangling from their little arms, squeal’s of delights when they find all those colorful Easter Eggs hidden around here and there.

I was scrolling around on Facebook and saw THE cutest new “take” on hunting for “Easter Eggs”.  Here is what you need for the…..

Easter Lolly Hunt.

• A bag of jelly beans
• An assortment of lollipops

You and your kids go outside on the Eve of Easter and have them “Plant” jelly beans and after they go to sleep replace them with suckers for a BIG morning surprise!  Annnnd WALA!  They have grown their own lollipops!

 

I will be doing this for the grandkids this year.  However living in Tucson I have to improvise since we don’t have grass lol….Thinking on having them “plant” their jellies in our tree wells.  What do you think?  Sounds like fun?  I think so 🙂

Hippity Hoppity Easter’s On The Way

 

I loved Easter as a little girl.  I fell in love with Spring, the smell in the air and birds singing from every tree branch.  I remember one year with my brother Gavin I got up early, woke him up (after all I needed an accomplice) to go scope the house out for what the Easter Bunny left.  We searched and searched and could not find an Easter Basket full of fun goodies!  Then, I remembered, THE GARAGE!

Yep, you guessed it we found the Easter Baskets and as we were shoveling hoards of chocolates in our mouth’s Dad came out and put on hand on his hip and asked what we were doing….keep in mind we had chocolate all over our faces and of course I piped up and said “Nothing Daddy”.  He couldn’t be mad and so we took our treasures of goodies into the house to investigate more.

I love bringing in Easter Baskets into our store and we have many for the choosing.  Christian Gift Baskets, Easter Baskets for Adults and Children a like.  Why we are even gearing up our spring garden baskets as well.  Now, I know you can get your Easter Baskets at a Wal-Mart or Target but you just don’t get the full effect of someone designing one just special for that special child or adult as you can with Red Rooster Baskets & Gifts.

Think Spring With Brownies

Think Spring with brownies.  Spring is right around the corner and I bet my friends back east are more than ready for their winter to be over!  It’s been Spring in the Old Pueblo since November and our fruit trees are in full bloom along with flowers popping up everywhere.

What does brownies have to do with spring?  Not much really except for maybe you are thinking about a unique Easter or spring birthday gift for someone.  In that case we’ve got the best brownies in the WORLD.  No, really, you have to try one and you’ll totally agree with me, or not….but I bet you will!
